Overview

A flexible warehouse built around customer programs.

Custom brands typically ship their own goods in bulk, retain ownership, and use Impress Designs for storage, decoration, and fulfillment. Programs using traditional wholesale blanks can instead have Impress Designs source the goods and invoice product, decoration, and fulfillment together.

The single facility has storage capacity equivalent to approximately 1.2 million T-shirts. Programs can also include finished merchandise, packaging, promotional goods, store components, and products that require fulfillment but no decoration.

Capabilities & scope

Inventory capabilities.

01

Customer-owned goods

Brands can ship custom products in bulk, retain ownership, and release them later for decoration, fulfillment, or replenishment.

02

Impress-sourced wholesale blanks

For established wholesale styles, Impress Designs can source the blanks and invoice the goods together with decoration and fulfillment.

03

Program components

Packaging, inserts, labels, displays, promotional goods, and non-apparel items can be incorporated.

04

Connected order release

Orders can arrive through managed stores, ShipStation, custom APIs, structured files, and approved customer workflows.

05

Current inventory reporting

Inventory reporting is currently program-based and typically prepared manually each week. Automated inventory visibility is under development and is not represented as live today.

Operating model

Inventory begins with receiving discipline.

  1. 01

Define item ownership, identifiers, packing lists, purchase orders, and receiving references.

  2. 02

Receive and reconcile goods against the approved inbound information.

  3. 03

Store and control items under the program's location and status rules.

  4. 04

Release inventory into decoration, finishing, kitting, or fulfillment.

Requirements & controls

Program considerations

  • Every inbound shipment needs usable PO, work-order, inventory-order, BOL, or packing-list references.
  • Blank, work-in-process, finished, damaged, and held inventory require clear statuses.
  • Replenishment, aged inventory, counts, adjustments, and disposal rules should be defined.
  • Unusual items and floor-loaded deliveries require advance review.
  • Inventory ownership and billing responsibility must be documented for each program.

Customer fit

A strong fit for

  • Recurring decoration programs
  • Company stores and ecommerce
  • Customer-owned blank inventory
  • Multi-item fulfillment programs
  • Organizations consolidating warehouse and decoration vendors
